No city income tax in Gladwin or Beaverton

Good news on the tax front: neither Gladwin nor Beaverton charges a city income tax. Only about two dozen Michigan cities have one (the big names are Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Lansing), and these two aren’t on the list. So in either city you’ll deal with property taxes, but not a separate local income tax on your paycheck.

Michigan’s state income tax still applies, of course — this is just about the local piece.
