Here’s some good news for anyone moving to Munising: there’s no city income tax to worry about. Michigan does let cities charge a local income tax — about two dozen of them do, including bigger places like Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Saginaw — but Munising isn’t one of them, and neither is anywhere else in the Upper Peninsula.
